FISU Technical Delegates visited Uganda

Lukasz Turlej from Poland, the FISU Technical Delegate for chess, and Helen Kruger from South Africa, the FISU Technical Delegate for bridge, recently conducted a site visit to the FISU WUC 2024 Mind Sports venue at the Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel. They engaged with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), headed by Chairperson Mr. Vincent Kisenyi, along with other committee members.

Everything appears to be on track to warmly welcome the world’s top student chess and bridge players to Entebbe in June!

During their visit, they had the privilege of being warmly welcomed by Hon. Peter Ogwang, the Minister of State for Sports, and Mr. Ambrose Tashobya, the Chairman of the National Council of Sports. They were informed that the Government of Uganda is fully committed to supporting the successful organization of the tournament, further fueling the enthusiasm surrounding the event.
